LITTLE LOAFLABS

Our story

Good food builds curious minds.

Little Loaf Labs started with a simple observation: a jar of sourdough starter is one of the best science experiments you can keep on a kitchen counter.

It’s alive. It changes every few hours. It responds to temperature, food, and time in ways a five-year-old can see and a twelve-year-old can measure. It connects to ten thousand years of human history. And at the end you get bread.

Most sourdough kits stop at the tools. We wanted something closer to a field-research kit, where kids ask questions, make predictions, draw what they see, and explain what happened. We also wanted a journal they’d keep long after the last crumb.

We’re building Little Loaf Labs for homeschool families first, and for the charter and independent-study programs that support them. It’s real curriculum with real materials, designed to be easy to teach and hard to put down.
